“Too good to be true”
Wow! What a great deal! I just found a racquet much cheaper than in any store!
Don’t let some websites fool you. Recently we have seen a big increase in imitation or “knock off” racquets that come to our store for stringing. According to our customers these racquets were purchased on eBay or other similar auctions or websites. Many of these items at first look authentic but on closer inspection are made of low quality materials. Some of the differences we’ve noticed are paint color, paint quality, and fake authentication seals.
Because of the low grade materials, using such imitation racquets can cause serious injuries. You are most at risk of doing damage to the shoulder, elbow and/or wrist.
We strongly recommend that you only purchase racquets from authorized tennis dealers, and if possible demo your product before buying.
